Requirements Before Bowling Equipment Is Brought Into The Venue

To ensure that the bowling equipment remains in good condition during future operation and the venue operates smoothly, the decoration of the venue shall meet the following requirements before the bowling equipment is brought into the venue.

1. Venue

During the period after the equipment is delivered and throughout the entire installation and commissioning process, the venue shall be closed and supervised. This is to ensure the safe storage of bowling equipment and the tools of mechanical engineers.

1. Entrance

The bowling alley shall reserve a main entrance of 2m × 2.6m for the delivery of equipment.

1. Flooring
2. Concrete Flooring
3. Bowling lanes must be installed on hard, waterproof reinforced concrete floors. Within the lane area, the finished surface can be cement, floor paint, or tile. The surface must be flat with a horizontal tolerance of no more than 6mm.
4. Waterproof and Moisture-Proof Treatment
5. We recommend that before installation, the venue floor must be kept in a completely dry environment, and the base layer must be properly waterproofed and moisture-proofed. Otherwise, the wooden structural materials in the bowling lane equipment will absorb moisture, leading to foundation deformation and equipment misalignment. Special attention should be paid if the bowling alley is built on the ground floor or even in the basement of a building.
6. Anti-Moth Treatment
7. In some special areas, treatment to prevent termites and other insect infestations is also required.For relevant information, please consult the local epidemic prevention department.
8. Pipeline Handling
9. Do not place any pipelines that may require maintenance under the concrete floor or in the lane base. Before construction starts, the distribution and routing of various pipelines should be carefully planned.
10. Lane Installation on Floors Above the Second Floor
11. When the bowling alley is built on the second floor or above, it is essential to ensure that the floor load-bearing capacity is sufficient to support the bowling equipment and the people who will be active on it. In addition, noise issues must be considered. For example: - Install sound-absorbing materials on walls and ceilings to effectively control and eliminate the noise generated during bowling and ensure the floor structure does not vibrate. If necessary, install shock-absorbing rubber between the floor and the lane base, and fill the gaps in the lane base with fire-resistant sound-absorbing materials.

1. Ceiling
2. Ceiling Height Requirement
3. The height from the ceiling to the surface of the bowling lane should not be less than approximately 3 meters. If an inclined ceiling structure is adopted, the above height refers to the ceiling height requirement for the approach area. The ceiling height of large venues should be appropriately increased to improve the visual effect.
4. Ceiling Structure Requirement
5. No matter what material is used for decoration, the ceiling must be able to bear the weight of the display screens hung by the scoring system.
6. Ceiling and Pipelines
7. The painting work on the ceiling and walls of the bowling alley must be completed before equipment installation. It is also necessary to ensure that the materials used are completely dry, and the water supply and drainage pipelines are installed without leakage.

1. Electrical Requirements

When installing electrical appliances, the bowling alley must be equipped with a skilled low-voltage power distribution electrician. Each lane shall be equipped with one automatic air switch to ensure the normal operation of the pinsetter and the computerized automatic scoring system. An automatic voltage regulator must be installed to provide an uninterrupted and stabilized power supply required by the computer system. The owner's construction party shall be responsible for the construction of power lines and pipe routing.

1. Fire Protection Facilities

The fire protection facilities of the bowling alley can be designed and installed in accordance with the fire protection regulations of the local public security bureau. However, it should be noted that water sprinkler systems must not be used in the machine room (i.e., the pin setter area).

1. Construction Time of Curtain Wall

Due to the large size of bowling equipment, which needs to be placed from the front end of the bowling lane, for projects with curtain walls or decorative feature walls, the construction of these walls must be carried out after the installation of the equipment in the pinsetter area. During the construction, the equipment must be covered and protected with colored strip cloth to prevent excessive dust from falling on the precision equipment parts and causing unnecessary impact. In conclusion, before the bowling equipment is moved into the venue, all indoor installation works in the bowling area must be completed, including the ceiling, wall surfaces, doors, windows, and the routing of wires and pipes. Sufficient covering cloth should be prepared to protect the surface of the bowling lanes.

The installation of gaps outside the bowling area, spaces within columns, rest areas, and steps shall be the responsibility of the owner's construction party.
